get down on your knee and ask her just as though you are putting a ring on her finger. just because she does not want a ring, and a huge wedding does not mean she does not want romance.

You just ask them to marry you. Then you sit down together and hash out exactly how you want your wedding to be- it may be a small intimate get together or a large blowout. You will never know though until you ask.
As far as the ring- a simple thin band solitaire is right for this particular situation- it isnt huge and flashy and doesnt scream "10 million dollar wedding ahead".
Either way, no matter what type of wedding you both want to have, asking to marry someone would have to be romantic, or unforgettable.

You just ask them. You don't have to have a ring. Sometimes guys just ask without any jewlry at all. If you want you could get her something else. You could get her a bracelet or a necklace or earrings. Or you could get her keys to a hotel (if you sleep together already) You don't have to have a big wedding to get married or engaged. Get her a ring anyways to surprise her.
I think having a small wedding is best. Just a few family and friends. You don't need anything fancy or lavish. I want a small wedding myself, whether its the Justice of the Peace, in Vegas, or just outside with a small ceremony. Good Luck...

Just suprise them with a trip to the court house and have a Justice of the Peace marry you. You can say quick vows and your in and out in about 10 mins. No fuss or ceremony.
Then you'll have an excuse to throw a big party!

O.K. so she doesn't want a ring(I can understand that).
So maybe a necklace...or bracelet! hey! it can be a really nice one?...and she can wear it, each day!...
In fact! I think rings are over over done?..boring.
Now she just doesn't want a big wedding...I can understand that too.
So let her wear what she wants, and say get married with just a handful of your best people.
On a cruise boat, on the river?..with just finger food. Make it all tasteful.....and she will love you even more......all the best.

simply ask her at a park or a beach or something with no people around and instead of a ring ask by drawing it in the sand or something

so do a civil ceramony! and as for not wanting a ring, find something else. a ring is just a symbol of your commitment to one another, so find something that is a suitable representation of your relationship.
