I threw his toys and food inside, and he only got in hesitantly to get them out and eat the food. Anyone has faced this problem?

If it is dark inside, that may be the problem. Try a door on EACH end of the house, or a window to let in light. It worked for me.

Does the house have windows? Dogs like there own place but like to see whats going on. Try cutting a window on each side and see if that works. if its for outdoors and your worried about winter you can add heavy plastic strips to insulate it. Good Luck

It is new to him and he doesn't know it is his. Periodically throw a toy in until he starts to check it out on his own. Eventually he will realize no one else will be in there and will claim it as his own territory. Just give him some time!

Dont force the dog in. Leave it alone, and the dog will go in there and be nosey.
You can try to place a treat in there and let him find out that it is in there.

well at first your dog is not going to want to get in there becuase it is something new. do not force him to get in then he will lose interest and be even more afraid to get in it. give him a couple of days and keep putting his food and water and treats in there and maybe a bed. and he will definetly warm up to using that as his little sactuary for himself

Get his favorite treat and put it in there. Leave him alone with it and he will eventually go into the dog house.

He will use it. Go inside and peep outside at him.
