I was so exciting to decorate the nursery I started long before we knew if it was a boy or girl. We went with a jungle animals theme and then after we found out it was a girl we finished it off with some pink accessories. She is almost two now and we're not tired of it yet. I'm sure Nemo would be cute too.

I didn't chose a theme, I picked a colour, then you can always mix and match, especially with bedding (kids then to go through alot of them). Also with gifts you could recommend to friends and family can just buy based on that colour. otherwise you find the nursery might end up as a Nemo museum (i have seen it happen)
Best wishes

I chose a color theme.. Character themes are great, but I will wait until the baby is a toddler and is actually into a character. This way, I can possibly use the nursery set with future children.

No. Everyone asked me right away what the theme was going to be - and I had no idea you were "supposed" to have a "theme." I ended up just going with a Baby Looney Tunes crib set, and the accessory set (diaper holder, crib skirt, blanket), and I found a matching lamp on clearance later on after I had my baby. It was the only non-gender set I found at Walmart that I liked when I had to look for one.

I paint nursery artwork of artwork as a component-activity, and that i've got painted a ton of boys' bedrooms. right this is my suggestion: a million. %. a topic matter which you will no longer lose interest of after a 12 months or so. 2. %. a topic matter based around your crib bedding. once you paint your partitions, follow a impartial or muted tone. in case you % to do his room in blue, you're extra effective off sticking with an extremely mild blue/gray. in case you prefer eco-friendly, follow a heat sage. the reason of it quite is that whilst they outgrow the nursery topic, the wall shade can proceed to be a similar, and all you could desire to do is replace the acessories. My all-time well-liked nurseries that i've got painted have been: Nautical topic (with sailboats, seagulls, ocean, lighthouse) Surfer Boy topic (a palm tree enhance chart in the corner replaced into the room focal element, coastline tones with surf decor, previous "woody" stationwagon) Bi-planes (metallic blue with rust orange accents, and a sky on the ceiling... distinctive and astounding) desire this all helped somewhat! :)

I like Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, & Euyore. My friend is due in a couple of weeks & her theme was pretty. She is having a girl so she did her theme in purple & green with butterflies & dragonflies. It is so pretty! If I have a girl I might end up doing butterflies.
Good luck & congrats on your baby!!

i would say the idea of a Nemo theme is great but when the child gets older it may grow out of it. try using neutral colours or pastel shades, then you can add to it when your child starts to like different things

We didn't do a theme - most are way over-played (ex Winnie the Pooh). I do have a Bambi quilt, and I did the colors of the room off of that, but nothing else Bambi.

No - because once they hit 2 you have to redecorate. Go for something that won't need re-doing or just have a few accessories such as curtains. Kids outgrow things so quickly or go off winnie the pooh!
