I guess I should add that the only thing holding up the divorce from being final is that they have to finish the child care classes

If I was a female then I probably would. However, being of the male persuasion I cannot say the same. But if you are certain that the divorce papers are in fact being taken care of and that he is not with his wife then go for it. The fact that she knows of you is probably at present a relieve for her as she will be thinking that you can have him.

Hell no , seperation doesn't mean anything .. I learnt the hard way , I was with a married man for almost 2 yrs thinking he will leave his wife simply because the "papers" were filed and they were "seperated" and she knew about me. Trust me when I say it will never work out. You take it to the next level once the divorce is FINAL . Its a 50% chance of them getting back together because they are only seperated. You are only setting yourself up for heartaches to come.

Wait until it is final, you have waited this long. This way there is no bad blood, no guilt, no reason for doubt in any way. If it is meant to be, it will happen after waiting a little longer. Keep in mind though, he is just getting a divorce. Be careful getting into a relationship with him too quickly. If men go for the rebound after a breakup... think of the rebound after a divorce. He may be: A) Looking to get into any relationship too quickly in order to fill a void. B) Will not go into a relationship to bounce back from being hurt. In either case, just be careful.

Stay friends until the divorce is final. Stranger things have happened then people reuniting with someone they are divorcing. I personally know of 5 couples who have separated and were divorcing that got back together. Good luck.

As long as he doesn't live with her and the legal papers are filed and the wife is aware of them I don't see anything wrong with dating a legally separated man. But let me ask this question? Where you seeing him while they were still married and living together? In that case I say, no because once a cheater always a cheater.

You'll still run into hot water with the soon to be ex, until the divorce is final.

Me personally would not get into a serious relationship with a married man separated or not. Why did they separate in the first place, it is too soon for him to be getting into any serious relationship. I think he has issues to work out. Give him space to work on those issues or it is going to end up sour for you in the end.
