Last year I had a nose job and was told not to let anything touch my nose anymore. Well, since then, I have bumped my nose several times and this weekend above all things, I was lying on the floor with my cat and she ran straight into my face/nose and my nose popped like a shot gun. Since then, it has been numb, swollen and very sore. Is it broken? Should I go to a regular doctor or back to my plastic surgeon? If it is broken, can it be fixed without difficulty since I have had a nose job one year ago? I'm so scared! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go to your family doctor first, he can tell you if it is broken and then if it needs to be fixed, go back to your plastic surgeon. Sometimes, they can just splint your nose. You don't want your nose to be crooked, especially after having surgery done to make it look better. Good luck.

Visit your primary care physician to determine if you have a deviated septum. If you do indeed have a broken nose then secondary rhinoplasty is much more complicated than first nose jobs.

I would certainly be going to the doc and getting it examined. Don't waste anymore time on here,it will be in the healing process already.
