I am writing a 10 page essay for my Black Belt testing. I have decided to write it on mind over matter. Since I come here for every other life pressing question ( :) ha ha ), I thought I would see what yee Yahoo answerers have to offer. I'm just looking for insight or something that I wouldn't think of on my own to incorporate into my paper - inspiration if you will.

Recently I used mind over matter to deal with severe pain.I visualized my young son and I running in a field of wildflowers on a perfect Spring day! Then I thought about how lucky I am that the pain was from an operation, and that I do not have chronic pain as some people do.Often for me--mind over matter means just staying positive--this too shall pass!
