Grains, sugars, and carbohydrates are detrimental to bodily functions first thing in the morning. One's diet must be strict and harsh to ensure longevity.

Cold water shower.
14floz. 151proof Bacardi rum.
15 minute swim and fish fight in seal pool at Central Park Zoo.

That'll keep you fresh and smelly!

Okay, okay.... being silly.... read the lable on your Cheerios box. Lists: grain plus what makes it so, oats plus what makes it so, then SUGAR. After that, preservatives,.
Look at the ingredients on cereal boxes.... SUGAR.
Yes, sugar gets us going in the morning, so does caffeine. Nicotine is still part of the ritual.

For breakfast, what is best? Maybe fresh fruit, and I mean GOOD fresh fruit, not flavorless honeydews, but seasonal goodies. Grains are okay without the honeysugarmarshmallowgoodness. How about oatmeal with cinnamon and honey and banana slices? Honey and maple slyurp (that's the way I spell it fresh from the vat) are unprocessed sugars and at least more flavorful with less badness.

No matter how often I dream of the Yanqui (white American stereotype) morning meal with flapjacks, ham, bacon, all kinds eggs, toast, people, music, more people, seconds, thirds, more music..... and a nap... most Yanks mix church in there somewhere.... no matter how comfy such can be... it is a colonist ideal, a private ritual from the rest of the world. Sure, it's fun!

The real big deal is the morning wakening. Hungry? Who cares! Let's go experiment with a new day!!

I try to follow weight watchers so when im being good i'll have plain ole boring puffed wheat that u get in the "bag" section of the cereal isle. Then i measure one cup of it and sprinkle one tablespoon of honey on it and when i splurge i might add half a banana, lol, it's pretty good and healthy too.

Usually I have a cup of coffee for breakfast.

If I want to indulge I like Captian Crunch with Crunch Berries or Lucky Charms but if I want to stay somewhat healthy I like Raisin Bran or HoneyNut Cheerios.

I have breakfast every morning. I have either grits and turkey bacon, or raisin bran and milk, or shredded wheat and milk. I always try to eat fiber in the morning and take a multi vitamin.
My kids do the same.

I usually have a sandwich as I get starving by 10am if I don;t eat something fairly hearty. Today I had granary bread with dry cured ham and vine tomatoes. It was delicious!
