You are absolutely right!!!!!
Religion has been ruined by human greed and influence. Everything that God has done for us still does not convince humans to care for each other. We are still far too selfish.
The New Testament is full of examples of how the Disciples were busy talking about which one of them is best and 2000 years later we are still doing the same thing.
Take care,
Troy

There are about two hundred religions on this particular planet. in this universe. I dought very seriously if god cares what path people take to learn and grow and suffer and change and step by step gain wisdom and understanding, and all the knowledge, and all the attributes and blessings of gods love that can be found within us.religions are a way of dogma, and not wisdom, in many cases because in so many ways, religions forget the teachings of understanding the spiritual ways of the souls relationship with God and his spirit, which we must experiance. not simply know about, this is the way to truth and light.there is one God, one Spirit of God and one soul for us in each of us, and we have in us the ability to open ourselfs to the power and glory of gods spirit, and if we will but ask with faith. then we will be able to do gods will, and this will lead us to heaven where we will continue to be guided and lead forward in the spiritual realms.

He doesnt approve of false religion, that is religion that claims to represent him but goes against what it says in the scriptures.
For example Exodus 20:4,5 clearly shows that he doesn't approve of idols used in worship to him but how many religions use icons/idols in their place of worship
What about the bible's teaching that men shouldn't elevate themselves above others with high sounding titles? - Reverend, Most Holy, Your Eminence etc etc
Also, many religions teach that when we die we go to heaven but the bible clearly shows in Psalm 37:11 & verse 29 that the meek & righteous will live on earth.
Also, Jesus said his followers would be no part of the world, & yet how many religions meddle in politics?
What about those religions that claim to represent God & yet tolerate immoral behaviour. Many of the religious leaders are involved in all types of immorality.
1CORINTHIANS 6:9,10
MATTHEW 7:19
God IS alive and he has decided on the outcome for false religion.
See the latest tract by Jehovah's Witnesses "The End of False Religion is Near!"
Its a worldwide message & it involves all of us today

QueenofmyWorld- Jesus isn't in any grave but I agree with your basic idea!
As far as he's revealed God approves of religious people if they're seeking to love him and love others, but he doesn't approve of religious people who are "holier than thou" and think that they can please God by their legalisticness (if thats a word).
Take Jesus' story of the Pharisee and the tax collector praying in the temple. The Pharisee (religious dude) goes on about how wonderful he is and how much better than everyone else- the tax collector can't even look into heaven but prays "God have mercy on me, a sinner". Jesus said that the tax collector went home justified before God, not the Pharisee.

I think he would probably be disappointed in all the stuff that people are doing in his name, whatever name people have chosen to give him (God, Jehovah, Allah, etc). I don't know if he'd be disagreeable to a set religion, per se, but maybe with people forming such concrete and unchangeable belief structures. I think Dogma had a good point there.
I always like to think that God would be a tree-hugger, because hey, if you spent nearly a week of your time creating the Earth and the cosmos, would you stand around and see it destroyed, polluted and cut down?

Totally agree. He's not into "religion". It divides people and religion killed his son. God wants a relationship with us, not rituals and going through all the motions.

Jews and Buddhists do not impose their religion on others. What they practice is meant only for themselves, and respect for all others is one of their highest virtues. Protection and promotion of Life is a Jew's highest commandment.
Christians and Muslims have distorted God's laws to the point they are totally worthless. It could be compared to Americans suddenly deciding to ignore the American constitution.

God is alive. i believe he would be hurt to see how many wars and genoicide were done in his name, so I do not think that he would approve of religion.
