masala, a premade mixture of ground spices used for flavoring foods , perry, perry just means its very very hot, masala is an indian spice

My first question is, where did you hear this term? I mean, was it actually in a recipie? If not, I think 'Perry' or 'Peri' is the Hindi word for spicy/hot.
