I would have to go with AIDS. There are so many children affected by this disease and as of yet the only thing we can do is give medicine to prolong the infected person's life. As for cancer and MS there is a cure already but government and drug companies don't want it to get out because they are making a lot of money off of these diseases. They both are metabolic disorders and can be cured by adding missing nutrients to our diets. Check out the book A World Without Cancer. It can be bought at www.drdino.com.

This is a 'different' answer, but I will throw it out there. I believe in mind over matter for a lot of illnesses. Sometimes our negativity/grudges can bring on certain ailments for some people.
I would like to cure depression. I have dealt with it for years. Most of my family members have as well. The ones who dwell on it, have a lot of 'physical ailments' which there are no diagnosis for them, and I believe that if they would let go of certain things, especially things that happened 40+ years ago, that they wouldn't have this burden on them and they would feel better instead of dwelling on their physical pain saying "woe is me... I can't do anything because I have shoulder pain" etc. When there is no reason for them to have the shoulder pain (no accidents, no arthritis, etc) My mom is a prime example. (but that is a long story in and of itself)
I have been reading books by Loiuse Hay and how you can 'heal yourself', with positive thinking. When people are depressed, it's hard to think positively, and its much easier to focus on the negativity. If I could cure depression it would be easier for people to have positive thoughts, and they would be less likely to get ill, or have chronic pain etc. If that makes any sense at all.
I do realize that some things happen to people due to genetics, environmental hazards, accidents, congenital deformities, etc... but I think the mind over matter issue is something that should be studied more. It's working for me. It's taken me awhile but I haven't taken my antidepressants in a few weeks and I am doing fine. Any other time I have gotten off of them I get to be a real, how can we say this, a "B-Word". :) I don't suggest everyone get off their pills for some people absolutely positively need them no matter what. I am just saying that having a more positive thinking has helped me, and I have more energy without having to drink so much coffee, and I feel more relaxed on the inside, which I really have never felt. I've always been overly anxious and worried about *everything* even as a child. I've learned recently to let go of a lot of bitterness towards people that I knew in elementary school, which was 20 some years ago. I told myself to let them go and it's time to move on and grow as a person.

Aids, because there are so many people dying from it when the government really knows what the cure is.........but is using it as population control.

Mental illness, its causes untold angony to millions and is less understood of illnesses because the person does no necessarily look ill.
Joe public tends to be scared witless of mental illness and families of sufferers also go thru hell with the sufferer.
