I have had bad acne for the last 10 years and it just wont go away. I have tried everything under the sun and nothing. I have even seen highly specialized dermatologists and still nothing. Is there anybody that can help with a home remedy or something that is inexpencive. Please no jokers!

For some people Benzoyl Peroxide works, others Salicylic acid, others plain soap and water.

For me my day happened upon a glycerin soap made by Avalon on front Cabot industries named on back with an address. This soap had basically 6 ingredients. Honey, Spring water (or filtered water), Colloidal Oatmeal and natural glycerin, and 4 scientific ingredients. None of them ingredients was benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.

This within a week was the first time ever I felt accepted in this world. ZERO ZITS, ZERO BLACKHEADS, I had complete porcelain skin!
Another week later the soap gave out. Went back to store to buy it (RITE-AID was formerly a PAY LESS store) was out of it. I had bought it on clearance.

So now I write to the lab, to find where I can buy more. 3 months later, no reply, return to sender/time out. Guess the Cabot/Avalon industry went out of business.

Odd thing is I can see and find a few overly fragrant items made by Cabot at almost any store.

PS I threw out the box, when my letter was returned. I do not have all ingredients to list.

Hope yet! Do a search on EBay for honey/oatmeal glycerin soap. Be sure the oatmeal is not raw, on top of soap of mix in as an exfoliate. Be sure its liquid-ed in. That's how my glycerin fix-it-all facial problems was.

Hope my reply is understandable, I receive no IM/emails due to harassment.

Last part edited in: Have you tried Witch Hazel or Tea Tree Oil? Dab it on worse spots.

Sometimes a dab of white toothpast on reddened zit without the pusshead on it will control it overnite.

How often do you clean your pillowcase? That could be the contraband oiling up dirt and stuff on your face while you sleep! Maybe wash hair prior to bed time will help a great deal! Replace pillowcase every 2 days too.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Proactive for sure.. also Salicytic Acid ( main ingredient in the acne pads) Look for 2% Salicytic Acid in the over the counter acne pads (90 day supply usually under $5). This stuff really works over a period of time, same with the Proactive. When I started using the Salicytic Acid my skin actually got a little worse before it got better, but it does work. Can't go wrong with either of them (I use both). Be faithful with your routine. Don't skip any portion of your routine, be sure your face is clean when going to bed. Clean pillow cases regularly too. Good luck!

It is probably hormonal and you might just have to grow out of it.

You might want to de-tox your body. If you buy some organic apple cider vinegar (with "the mother" in it--just ask at a health food store). Put a teaspoon of it in a glass of water and drink it once a day. It tastes bad! But it is so good for your whole body.

If you wear makeup do not apply liquid foundation with your fingers use makeup sponges, otherwise you make it worse. If you use powder over the foundation, replace the puff with sponge ones( you can wash those ) Drink at least 6 glasses of water a day, stop drinking cola for now if you drink it Go to the drug store and buy Vitamin A tablets--with 10,000 usp in them (over the counter ) check expiration date on bottle ( get ones with far out date ) Whatever you are using on your skin now, stop using it for now. Wash your face with dial bar soap and ivory alternate them On the Vitamin A get the fish oil caps.something in your diet is adding to the problem. I wonder if you drink OJ. in two weeks buy a facial lotion with high AHA'S in it and put it on after washing and drying your face.also review your diet is there afood you eat very freqently .,also eat alot of veggies and fruit, try not to eat alot of fried foods. Best wishes

You might try getting sun on your face for about 10-20 minutes per day. Do not get your face sunburned. An old wife tale is to wash your face with vinegar water every morning and everynight. I dont know if it works, but I dont believe it will hurt.

I used a system when I was younger. I would use noxema followed by sea breeze then wait about an hour then wash with soap and water. Try to do this three times a day. It really worked for me. Cyn

If you have indeed tried EVERYTHING, then there is nothing else to do, but to live with it.

In case you haven't actually tried Everything -- try "Scar-Zone - A" (A for Acne). It is a product of CCA Industries.

Here's where you can order online:

I would imagine that if treatment by qualified dermatologists has failed to cure your condition, then it is highly unlikely that some cheap home remedy will do so.
