No clue about Kenya, but here in America a zip code is a 5 digit number that allows the Post Office to direct your mail by State, Geographic area within the state, city, and finally geographic area within your city.
I'm sure Kenya has something comparable.

I think in Kenya you still use the British postal code system? Well, the ZIP code (Zone Something Postal) was its predecessor , and it serves only the U.S. and its territories.
