Both, as long as they come over legally. It is one thing to pay taxes to support legal residents, but ridiculous to support people who are undocumented.
While some illegal immigrants eventually pay taxes, most of them do not do so for many years after slipping into the country.

The word is ILLEGAL and I do not illegals from any country here. However, It is imperative we protect our borders. The country is in meltdowns and legal immigration must also be more carefully regulated.
