Just be polite. Prepare your new boyfriend ahead of time.

About two months ago my fiance met my ex-husband it went okay. I have been divorced for 14 years so we have been able to work thru all of the hard feelings - bitterness, etc.... It went rather well I thought. My ex was kinda puffy with pride, but later, a few days later, admitted my fiance was a nice guy. Just be calm and prepare your boyfriend and ex, and make it a brief time. We only talked for about 20 minutes.

Depends on your current boyfriend and his general behavior.

Two scenarios come to my mind:

1. New boyfriend is confident and sakes the guys hand like he's just some other regular joe schmoe.

2. New boyfriend is a bit insecure and spends the evening trying to think of ways why he's better than the ex boyfriend and trying to one-up him in a passive aggressive sort of way.

Unless, you were seeing the 'New boyfriend' whilst seeing your ex at the same time, there shouldn't be a problem. You are all adults and should get along fine. Don't' make a big deal out of having your new boyfriend there, that would be unkind.
Just act natural, and say hi.

Why would you expect anything? Your ex isn't a part of your life anymore. Why bother with him? They'll say hi, nice to meet you and you will go back to doing your own thing.

Your ex doesn't care about your new boyfriend. Only chicks do that.

Just treat your ex as a friend. Your new boyfriend surely understands that you have a past life. Don't worry about it, relax and enjoy the company of your new boyfriend. The evening will fall into place if you just allow the situation freedom to be....

If it comes down to where they are actually meeting at the banquet, you should expect them to act like two adults.

Take the high road, don't ignore the x, but don't shove the new bf in his face. Introduce them, hopefully they will shake hands, you can make small talk, and it's all over.
