Here's an interesting study about this exact topic.
http://jrscience.wcp.muohio.edu/nsfall99/FinalArticles/HumanBehaviorwithrelation.html
The next part of our hypothesis stated that when comparing men and women, we expected that women would be more emotionally affected by the moon cycle. Our results put this into a better context. The results did show that there was a difference between the behavior change in men and women, but men were equally affected by the phases, just effected by a different cycle. Mens' behavioral patterns and emotional change were dependent on the full moon cycle, while women were not. Females, on the other hand, were dependent on the new moon cycle, while men were not.
So yes, for both men and women.
And think about the origins of the word LUNAtic.

The rigid traits get loosened up a little during these lunar cycle, especially on the full and new moon days ...
It gets noticed in cases where there is very little control on one's own mind, be it a isolated temporary period or an acute case of mental imbalance. In nature, the sea waves manifest the gravitational effect. Humans too are therefore, not exempt from its effect. There is a choice however, to utilise these phases to rid ourselves of mind-blocks, barriers, etc.. Certain spiritual persons make use of it with practices and austerities to enhance their capabilities. In some traditions, even the astrological indications are taken advantage of to perform conducive actions, for better results.

When I worked in a hospital when it was a full moon the seemed to be a increase in mother arriving in labour. Now the woman natural cycle is twenty eight days and so is the moon orbit about the earth. I know in the middle ages they planted new crops based on moon cycle. It would be interesting to know whether there is a lunar influence on behaviour as there definitely is in nature. Certain moths hatch to full moons.

He gets really 'high' or really 'angry' 2/3 days before a full moon, it happens to me 2/3 after a full moon. It can be 'very interesting for a full week near a full moon, and during a blue moon (once in a blue moon = two full moons in one month), which happened more than once last year, it makes for nearly termination of relationship.
Get figures from ER's, Mental Health Centers, Police blotters, etc, and you can see that it is true. And it should be, we are made mostly of water, the tides are controlled by the moon, why not us?

According to my mystical neighbor - yes. She's always talking about 'when Mercury's in retrograde' is when everything that could go wrong does. I know when I used to work for the military they had a lot more off duty soldiers get into trouble when the moon was full. Seems like I've seen that mentioned on the news, especially in the summer. A hot night with a full moon = trouble.

While experts will often say the moon has nothing to do with anything try working on an ambulance, in a hospital ER or in a jail and see what happens when the full moon comes. People get crazy and you have double the patients/inmates. I've worked in all three areas and watch the calendar closely.

the word lunatic literally derives from the word lunar...which means moon...however...there is no real evidence to support for or against the theory...otherwise it would be clear cut and it isn't. the fact that there might be more strange activity on a full moon could simply be related to the fact that when there's a full moon there's more light so more people might be inclined to stay up rather than go to bed.

I read somewhere that there are actually more trips to the emergency room and more police runs during a full moon. It may be that the pull of the moon's gravity is slightly stronger during a full moon. It creates stronger tides then, and maybe it has a slight effect on us, too.
