I just want a book like the police get entailing all proper and nonproper methods used in home searches/seizures. I would like it if it covered what we all can and can not do and what consequences were to be faced in the aftermath.

Under FOIA (the Freedom of Information Act), you can walk up to any police station and request to read their policies, and procedures.

You are better off putting the request in writing, and FOIA's website offers a sample template.

as one already said go and ask under the freedom of information act to see the actual training and operative manual that the specific agency uses
