Frankly speaking, it is highly essential to know the language for communication. In general, the most popular language is English. In this computer age, English is the only language that any one can understand. So to say, it has become as an ideal language for expressing our feelings. First, we have to learn the language and then we have to gain fluency in the language. Unless we have the fluency in English language, it would not be possible to work with the computer. If you do not know English, then you would be in need of a translator to do the job.

english is considered as a global language as most MNCs have english as their official language. most of the countries have english as a part of their curriculum in schools, especially the ones which had been ruled by the britishers which is quite a few if u really look at it. communicating is definitely easier with english. even if we don't know any other foreign language if we have a reasonably good understanding of the english language, life definitely becomes easier if we go abroad.

Because it is spoken by large no. of people of different culture & countries. Due to Britains rule over large parts of the World, during mediaval period, most of the people in those country are familiar with the language. Also, British merchants, travel all over the world and they not only spread their countries products, but also, the language, Even the Christanity started spread, on their account.

Just because it is the most widely-spoken language.

This doesn't mean that it is spoken by the most number of people.

Also, English is a language that can constantly be adapted, with new words being invented, and meanings of old words being changed; lots of other languages don't allow for this.
