Are you referring to a graduation "Family Day"?? I can only tell you what we do here on "Family Day" for BCT graduation. There's usually a presentation put on by the Drill Sergeants and others. It's pretty fun and interesting. There's also a luncheon or dinner. Here, it's usually lunch. After that, your soldier will be released to spend the rest of the day with you. He'll more than likely have to return on time for lights out. Most people go out to dinner to a nice restaurant. Here, they love to go to the mall and pick up all those items they've been missing so they can take them to AIT with them. I don't know much about Ft. Leonardwood, so I don't know what's available there. Go to their web site and get more info on the area. That'll help. I'm sure your husband will just want to be with you and your son. Anyways, the next day is usually graduation. The graduation ceremony is always excellent. It's a proud moment for everyone. Keep your camera handy. After graduation, he'll once again be given pass to spend the day with you. He might want to go out or just spend the day in the hotel room. Usually, it's back on time for lights out. There's a chance you might see him the next day, but that depends if he has to ship out for AIT or if it's there. Usually, they're all gone within 48 hours.

I graduated from Ft. Leonardwod about a year ago. On post they have a movie theater and a bowling alley. Off post there definitly isn't much you can go shopping, theres a walmart, a few night clubs. It's a boring area. If allowed St. Louis is like maybe an hour away.

Here are some websites to check out. The best thing really isn't what you do. It's who you do it with. I am in the military, I didn';t have my family come out to see me for family day. It would have been great just to have seen them. Take lots of picutes, talk and let them know how proud you are of them!!!

my fam got a nice hotel room in town, went swimming there and had a place to hang out, then we went out to a movie, and to wendys, not a whole lot, but after being in basic for 9 weeks or so, it was like disney world, have fun

well i saw this movie where, on visiting day in prison, once a month, the wives and girlfriends would come and sit straddle on the mens lap.

they let you go out for the weekend . but you are in jersey not much to do but go to newyork
