"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

Which of you comfort yourselves with the words of Peter (who denied Jesus thrice) or Paul (who appointed himself preacher after hunting and killing Christians), rather than abide by the Word of Jesus?

You are a non-Christian so how can you know what Christians believe? Born again Christians are all about Jesus.

Like Debra said:
Jesus, then Peter, then Paul. But always Jesus before others.

Paul is proof the Lord can twist someone's actions to the good and still allow that person to choose heaven or hell for themselves.

Paul liked to appear in scenes of tumult, said he did more work than the other apostles and he sought to write scripture like the other prophets but didn't fully achieve it as you can tell by his church letters.

That said, the church letters are still important to know that the Levitical Laws passed away and other tidbits about the trinity and the three heavens and Jesus Christ's divinity.

I believe the words of Jesus. But if you look at Peter, Jesus said the church would be built on him. Paul, ... he converted to Christianity. The early church originally had doubts about him, ( he proved himself), but Paul wrote a majority of the New Testament. "Is not all scripture divinely inspired of God and good for correction, and reproof...".
If there were a contradiction in what I read, then I would only look to Jesus. But I see no contradictions, so I believe it is all truth.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about who to believe above another since all Scripture is inspired by God and neither Peter nor Paul write anything that conflicts with what Jesus said. Anyone who thinks that they do is ignorant of the whole counsel of God's Word and ignorant of how to properly exegete passages from the Bible. In case you are unaware of it, Peter was a disciple of Jesus who received further revelation from God after Jesus had gone to Heaven. Paul was met by the risen Lord himself and also received divine revelations during his life time.

Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Jesus picked both Peter and Paul to carry on his authority and his work (in spite of their past sins which, praise God, were forgiven) after he was gone. Peter and Paul are prophets sent by God, as shown by the miracles they performed, and it is clear from the Bible that anyone who opposes a prophet opposes the God who sent them.

You are trying to make a false division by suggesting that Jesus picked the wrong people to represent him. Can Jesus make a mistake?

When in doubt, always read the statements of the saints or apostles in light of the words Jesus spoke.

And remember, "perfect" means "complete", rather than the modern interpretation of the word.

If Jesus where here today, there is one thing he wouldn't be: A Christian

If I was Christian, I would say neither.

They're both dead, what they've said has probably been misinterpreted when written, and then mistranslated when put into other languages.
