The short answer is that if any country (not just the Americans) want to dominate the world, the world has a habit of biting them on the ***.

The British once owned the 7 seas and 1/3 of all the land on the planet and now they need American assistance every time we go to war, how the mighty have fallen.

If it is becoming apparent that the world is brewing a reasonable level of anti-American sentiment, Washington would be smart to slow down a bit for another decade.

When governments sound like taking over the world it causes problems, but countries aren't actually governed by the government. Governments are slaves to business, and large corporations buy election campaigns and force foreign policies of many established countries already.

All the people vote for are puppets, designed to smile for the cameras and sign big checks on our behalf.

The problem with China is less of an issue at the moment. Capitalism is running over there (thanks to the British hand over of Hong Kong). They may be a lot of things, but the Chinese are a very clever race, they won't deliberately jeopardise the economic growth by unecessarily incurring trade sanctions against their economy.

The Chinese will also be keen to avoid any disputes before the Olympics in Beijing take place so the west has an opportunity to build bridges before that time occurs.

The Chinese have shown their unity with the rest of the world currently because of North Korea (the real threat) and the nuclear tests taking place currently.

The big question is whether the USA power centre can handle being the 2nd or 3rd global economies behind China and India?

I think it is the time that United states review its trade dealings with China and also review the ideology of world dominance put forward by people like Mr.Wolfowitz and others, and instead work on bringing peace and goodwill to the world.

I agree with the statements, you have to weigh the negatives and positives in any situation, and you have to be accountable for your actions and take responsibility. Not cause a bigger mess and walk away and create hatred for your own country, then we blame terrorism, didn`t we just cause terrorism, anybody thought why they do it?

Do we want China against America aswell, so far North Korea is ready to declare war. will America have any friends left...
