It sounds like a fairly reasonable featured tv from the cheaper end of the market.

These people buy equipment from anybody and stick the name on it so it really is a lottery what your getting but it's usually the more limited type in picture and sound quality.
The other issue is who will repair if if you do get a problem because parts will not be available as such. It could have generic parts inside fom say philips but who knows so you do takea bit of a risk.

Modern tv's went through a period of being very reliable but my friends who are all in the trade tell me that they are becoming incredible complex and pushing the envelope of technology to a point where reliability has dropped a little.

They are however stll much more reliable than say a vcr with loads of mechanical parts that wear out.

Most of the stuff on the list there is now as per the norm, nothing special.
HDMI socket is needed for High Definition although your not really getting true HD from just about EVERY tv on the market upto now.

Sony have released the x2000 series which is the first to give us true HD on fast moving pictures such as sport, (1080p and 1080i).
All the others so far have not been upto this as we've had all the old rubbish the Japanese and the Yanks refused to buy so they pushed it onto us.

The only problem is the 40" is £3 grand and the 46" is £4 grand.

So, i wouldn't pay a lot for it, 32" isn't seen as a big tv now, maybe £300-400, the reason being you can get similar from your local supermarket which will last you untill the real thing becomes a reasonable price.

I'd rather go for a big branded name such as Toshiba, Panasonic, JVC rather than a non descript name that usually end up just being an importers brand.

You'll pay a little more but you'll have good quality, better reliability and the back-up's there if you need it.

Certainly sounds like a good spec.

However, in 2 years you'll be needing a digi box.

So you'll have a nice sleak TV on the wall and a stupid little interface box next to it on a table.

I'd buy it for us, can you put in the comments who supplies it ?

digital 32" start at about £700 though.

you need to find out what contrast ratio is cheap sets have 800 or so rating while others have up to 5000 contrast also how fast is processing the action. companies like lg build panels and the panels that donet meet there expectations they sell to second level markets that slap different panels and componets togeather.then you need to find out if you have a repair problem who localy reoairs them because it will do you no good to have you ship yopu panel to china to get repaired then then you wont see you amazing picture being the cheapest is alway the best move. you also said its hd ready that means you need to spend 200-400 for a box to receive the hd video for local braodcasts

Sounds good but i wouldn't buy from this manufacturer! I would recommend brand names such as pioneer, panasonic and sony, i know there more exspensive but you get better quality and you'll know they'll last longer.

Brilliant, I 'd buy it if I could afford it.It sounds expensive, but maybe it's been sold cheap and then you find that out and every one runs out and buys it!
