I have a juvenile DUI warrant for not showing up to court. The judge gave me a year probation for drinking underage and got away with a couple of fines. The case was closed but i never showed up for the routine monthly check-in to see how everything was going with my probation and stuff. I called the court and they said i had a warrant and plus im violating probation because i stopped seeing my probation officer because she said if i come to see her she has to arrest me for having a warrant with the court, so she said to settle that and come back to her. OKAY, now the problem is i have to go to Washington DC to attend a funeral and afraid that something might happen at the airport like getting arrested. Im really scared but i really have to go. Am i going to get arrested? Will the airport see warrants and violation of probation? Am i worring too much? DO PEOPLE GET ARRESTED AT THE AIRPORT FOR A MISDEMEANOR WARRANT?

The offense might be a misdemeanor, but a bench warrant is a very serious matter and calls for you to be held in jail until a court hearing. It is possible that you can be turned away from flying because of one and if you fly from the same area where that warrant was issued, you could be arrested on the spot.

Your best bet is get a lawyer right away.

Not if you are in a different state but if your in the state that you have the warrant in for you might....... but i highly doubt it I really do
just because that the system that police use is only adult warrants with states i believe the one you have would only show up in juvenile intake in the state in which you live in

i think you will be OK

I have been let go from the cops before when i had warrants in a different county because in could not be confirmed. Most agency's dont want to deal with other agency's baggage

airport security does not screen you for wants and warrants that only happens if you get stopped for traffic or other prompting the police to check or are an asshole aboard the aircraft once you return got o court and take your severe punishment the judge will cut you no slack travel safe ok

No. You will not. They don't have time to do warrant checks that frequent it would slow up air traffic so much. It's already pretty late to begin with. Turn yourself in though and consult a lawyer regarding the VOP charge.

I'm not sure...I haven't heard of anything like that happening. Just about people on the government's "watch list" getting busted (often, mistakenly!).
But I do hope you are scared enough so that you don't drink again until you are 'legal', & then not to excess!!!
I'm not one of those "preachy adults"...LOL! Just an alcoholic who's trying desperately to beat this stupid crap disease.

I am sorry you have to go to a funeral. And good luck!

Actually since 9/11 security is up, and you have a very good chance of getting arrested. in fact you have a good chance at getting arrested at everything you do! You should go to the police station and turn yourself in, and get it all straightened out with the judge. odds are you'll get a slap on the wrist and you'll go home.

Go to the courts and get this squared away before you do anything. This thing can snowball into something felonious.

to my knowledge, airports do not scan liscences for clearance... they just check to see you are who you claim to be... and that all the information that you've given matches with what your liscence says. No need to worry.... though I might be worried now after posting this on the net...

YOU WILL GET CAUGHT ESPECIALLY IN WASHINGTON YOUR STATE PROBALY WONT EXTRIDITE YOU FOR THE CRIME SINCE ITS A LOT OF PAPERWORK AND MONEY. BUT IF YOU TURN YOURSELF IN YOUR SENTENCE WILL BE ALOT LESS THAN IF YOUR CAUGHT BY THE POLICE,NOT TO MENTION THE EMBARRESSMENT OF BEING HANDCUFFED AND PUT IN A PATROL CAR IN PUBLIC.
