Did you not mention the holitosis to your doctor during your check up? I have a couple things to suggest that may or may not help. Take over the counter priolsec or zantac for 2 weeks, one a day in the morning and see if that helps. You may be having some acid reflux even tho your endo was ok. Other thing if that doesn't help, try taking some sinus medication and see if that is where the smell is coming from. Bad sinus can cause bad breath. As far as going to a doctor, I would suggest and ENT, (ears, nose and throat). Maybe they can pull it all together.

How about a change in diet? Very often rich diets can cause halitosis, try going on a "poor man's" diet richer in veggie with less toppings. Also reduce the amount of preservatives as these in large quantities too can cause digestive irregularities which can lead to breath problems. Also check for allergies to food... my brother for exapmle cannot eat garlic as this makes his breathing unbearable to be about.

Bad breath is due to scum formed in the nasal region ,this scum can be hard and cannot be blown off easily, so a doc can help, he can give tab. or syrup which will dilute it and can easily be discharged away.Sometimes when we dont eat breakfast regularly then bad breath prevails.Breakfast is a must to put and end to this problem fast. Next drink a lot of water to help in digestion, this cud help u to reducethis problem at a fast rate. Inspite of all this it still continues then u can suffer from TB. Check it with the TB doc.

One of the causes of bad breath is drying of the mouth and not anything pathological..The mouth , because of saliva, is slightly acidic. sometimes it goes too "acidic" that your mouth dries up. Drying up of the mouth causes bad breath. Try to gargle with a solution of baking soda (dissolve one teaspoon of baking soda in water). This will make your mouth less acidic. Drink lots of liquid(water and juice) and try munching on food ,candies or anything that will induce production of saliva to avoid drying. Avoid eating food with too much spices, they contribute to bad breath.

The problem, called HALITOSIS, is actually due to foul gases coming up through your food pipe. Acid reflux and indigestion worsen the condition.
Eat fresh (Not cooked) vegetables,--like salads--and eat no oily, fried foods.
This should ease your situation within a week, if you practise it rigorously.

Stomach Gas Problem

If you have not seen a doctor please see one.

How is the gas normally formed?

Gas is formed during all stages of digesting process, in all parts of the system.

There are enzymes, acids and bacteria....... they break down what we take in, solid or liquid or gases (if you are a smoker some smoke will end up in the system).

This process of breaking down produces gases. The gasses come out through upper or lower exists depending on where they are formed if all valves are performing.

The problem happens when;
1. There is over production.
2. Malfunction mainly of various valves in the systems.

During weekly fasting days – how to control? - The Pt is-male(38).

I am glade that you are believer in fasting.

But I do not know what kind of fast you follow.

The best thing you can do is fast, with water only, you must take in a gallon of water every day fasting or not. Water is a universal purifier. It will regulate the acids ....

Stomach Gas problem?

After a day of fasting, you should eat for whole day only yogurt and rice for all three meals. Yogurt should be non pasteurized kind (Curd or Dehi), Danon in USA is selling a bran name "Actinia" use that. Pesturiezed Yogurt does not have the enzymes that help solve the gas problem.

Now you can slowly introduce one new food item per day and see how your system reacts. But with all meals you must eat some Yogurt. If you have the problem, you will know what food to blame or avoid. Simple well cooked food causes less problem then non cooked items. You must not use spicy food in the beginning and introduce them slowly one at a time.

How to control my food?

You must eat what you need i.e. amount of total calories intake. I have two articles that I will include that should help. FYIO.

Which food is better?

Yogurt should be included in small quantity with all meals in your case till the problem is solved. Gallon of water should be taken every day even after the problem is solved.

Which food is to be avoided?

This I have answered and showed you the way to find out.

Which food is better?

Well cooked simple food is batter. You must eat so that you are going to keep some room for two helping of your favorit desert but take one helping of it only. Do not starve but you must have some room for the gasses to form during the process of digesting.

Which medicine is better?

If you follow the above you should not need medicine. Some time you like to eat certain food say at a party then there are lots of non prescription stuff that is available to you, at local pharmacy, they all work but some will work batter for you have to try and use what works best, some of this you can take before the party.

Tea/Coffee to be avoided completely or not?

By same process you can find this out, slowly introduce in small quantity and see what happens.

According to the present company provided food/accommodation, it is not possible to avoid Refrigerated and Microwave food – So what to do – or how to manage these food and when (Day time, evening, night).

How the food is cooked or kept is not important Refrigerated and Microwave food. The food is not be spoiled, watch out for dates, once the package is opened, use the same up as soon as you can. Take out the food in a plate put away the rest first in the refrigerator then warm up. Food should be kept out of refrigerator least amount of time. Smell the food, look at the food does not look right or smell right is not right.

PS

Once you start eating all the food, it may help, if you eat 6 small meals instead of 3 large meals.

A ear nose throat doctor should be consulted for this problem if stomach gas is not the cause.

Some dentist are using laser to remove dirt from the throat that should be considered first.

If you have infection of sinuses, cleaning them surgically will help.

Most cases (85–90%), bad breath originates in the mouth, sinus and throat. The intensity of bad breath differs during the day, due to eating certain foods (such as garlic, onions, meat, fish, and cheese), obesity, smoking, and alcohol consumption. Since the mouth is exposed to less oxygen and is inactive during the night, the odor is usually worse upon awakening ("morning breath"). Bad breath may be transient, often disappearing following eating, brushing one's teeth, flossing, or rinsing with mouthwash.
Causes:
1, Tongue, A common location is the tongue. Tongue bacteria produce malodorous compounds and fatty acids, and account for 60 to 70% of all cases of mouth-related bad breath. Methods used against bad breath, such as mints, mouth sprays, mouthwash or gum, only temporarily mask the odors created by the bacteria on the tongue, but cannot cure bad breath because they do not remove the source of the bad breath.
Cleaning the tongue - Many companies promote tongue scrapers as a bad breath cure however the bacteria on the tongue can’t be removed with a scraper or brush as they live between the taste buds. Use a tongue scrapper to reduce the food source for bacteria but don’t expect it to cure bad breath. The method of stopping bad breath from the tongue involves rebalancing the bacteria load. Once tongue bacteria are in balance bad breath will cease. For this complex procedure you’ll need to consult Oraltech Labs program at http://www.oraltech.com.au
2. Mouth, There are over 600 types of bacteria found in the average mouth. Other parts of the mouth may also contribute to the overall odor, but are not as common as the back of the tongue. These locations are, in order of descending prevalence: inter-dental and sub-gingival niches, faulty dental work, food-impaction areas in between the teeth, abscesses, and unclean dentures. To fix you will need a dentist to examine your teeth and repair any faults found. Or use Oraltech Labs Unusual Causes Of Bad Breath.
3. Gum disease, advanced periodontal disease is a common cause. Waste products from the anaerobic bacteria growing below the gum line (sub gingival) have a foul smell and have been clinically demonstrated to produce a very intense bad breath. To fix remove the tartar or hard plaque and friable tissue with a soft bristle tooth brush angled on the gum line. This has been shown to improve mouth odor considerably.
4. Nose, in this occurrence, the air exiting the nostrils has a pungent odor that differs from the oral odor. Nasal odor may be due to sinus infections, foreign bodies & commonly Post Nasal Drip. To fix this you will need to flush your sinuses with salt water. It’s very difficult. Use Oraltech Labs program to properly clear all sinus cavities.
5. Tonsils small bits of calcified matter in tonsillar crypts called tonsilloliths that smell extremely foul when released and can cause bad breath. To fix use warm to hot salt water mix to break the stones down or use a water pic to dislodge them. This topic is covered in depth in the Oraltech Labs Program.
6. Stomach, very uncommon source of bad breath. The esophagus is a closed and collapsed tube, and continuous flow (as opposed to a simple burp) of gas or putrid substances from the stomach indicates a health problem—such as reflux serious enough to be bringing up stomach contents or a fistula between the stomach and the esophagus. To fix use Oraltech Labs program to cure bad breath caused by GERD & Acid Reflux.
Management:
1. Gently clean the tongue surface twice daily; that can be achieved using a tooth brush, tongue cleaner or tongue brush/scraper to wipe off the bacterial biofilm, debris, and mucus. Scraping or otherwise damaging the tongue should be avoided, and scraping of the V-shaped row of taste buds found at the extreme back of the tongue should also be avoided. Brushing a small amount of antibacterial mouth rinse or tongue gel onto the tongue surface will further inhibit bacterial action.
2. Eating a healthy breakfast with rough foods helps clean the very back of the tongue.
3. Chewing gum: Since dry-mouth can increase bacterial build-up and cause or worsen bad breath, chewing sugarless gum can help with the production of saliva, and thereby help to reduce bad breath. Chewing may help particularly when the mouth is dry, or when one cannot perform oral hygiene procedures after meals.
4. Gargling right before bedtime with an effective mouthwash.
5. Maintaining proper oral hygiene, including daily tongue cleaning, brushing, flossing, and periodic visits to dentists and hygienists. Flossing is particularly important in removing rotting food debris and bacterial plaque from between the teeth, especially at the gum line.
If none of the above works for you just use the Oraltech Program by visiting - http://www.oraltechlabs.ph
