Sort of. Once they get amnesty, which I would say is fairly certain since deporting 10-15 million people would be a bit of a hassle, it's safe to assume they will become a fairly unified voting block. They'll either go 90-10 Democrat for reasons similar to those of the African-Americans or they'll go Republican for them appearing to be more in line with Catholic values and the fact that their boss (who hired their lucky behind) is likely a Republican.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, but it's my belief that the first party to appease the soon-to-be-legals will reap the electoral benefits for decades to come.

That miscarriage of justice will never happen. They are only large in numbers ,not in money or power
Plus they are illegal, that's a HUGE reason .Large numbers do not make any difference in the way governments are run.Look at Mexico as a prime example. The poor out number the rich,BUT who has all the power?
Steve .There will not be any whole scale amnesty granted to the illegals, there is far too much opposition to it in Congress and from the American voters. It is not a certainty by any means.

no but they will exert political influence, and help whatever party will help them. They have power in this country, even without the vote, they have economic power from the money they earn, the threat to the businesses that use them by threatening to withdraw their cheap services, they can be used by those who want to see more illegals in the country for their own purposes (e.g. votes) especially in this age of mass media, they can be used by others also.
