Now THAT was a war! Our soldiers were fighting for their country, for their families, for truth and justice, for peace, and for what was right. Not like those punks today who don't care who they fight as long as they get to shoot someone. In some ways I have more respect for the Taliban because at least they are fighting to escape from oppression. Not simply so they can feel another man ground to dust beneath their boots.

Excuse me. I am in the Navy, I have friends who are in all branches of the military, I know people who have been to Iraq, and now you are saying they are punks? What opperssion is the Taliban fighting? Nobody I know wants to take a human life. But they are there to do their duty, something I fell you would not understand. Nobody outside of the military has any idea what its like. Let me guess, you are some antiflag, anti gov't right? Well, I don't take kindly to being called a punk.

I believe you've been misinformed. The Taliban isn't fighting to escape from oppression. They're goal is to force oppression onto other people. Do some homework before you come on here spewing crap you know nothing about.

I think WWII was the US's most popular war. My grandparents were Zionists after the war, so I'm proud of that.
