I have a Fender Stratocaster that I bought sometime in the 80's. I am constantly asked how old it is and I do not have an answer.

count the candles on the cake!!! Ha ha.....really though there should be a serial number somewhere on the guitar and you can post an email to the help desk of the manufacturer with the number and they can tell you exactly the day it "rolled off the line"

Cut the neck in half and count the rings.

Otherwise, you might take it to a dealer who knows a lot about them who might be able to identify them. Also, it's really easy if there's a serial number on your guitar, but a lot of older ones don't have it.
