Below is the link to your question: "why do a lot of americans believe that they are greater than every other country in the world?
i mean seriously, i'm as patriotic as the next person . . ."

I am not a US resident. But your question certainly implies that you are American. It probably appeared on all the English-language Y! Q/A lists, but it would have seemed to be addressed mostly to other Americans.

Anyway, Americans are always pleading with God to "bless America" and, by implication, not to bless any other country. American ascendance has been due to its resources, its economic success, its liberal enterprise laws and culture, and its freedom from domestic wars. This may well change now that the Bush administration has shrunken the middle class, emptied the Treasury and borrowed heavily abroad debts that future generations will have to pay. As the dollar depreciates living standards will decrease further. The Iraq war is a morass that, this time, one-time boosts like women entering the workforce, computerization and globalization can't cure. (They way they paid off Vietnam debts and funded the rise of the new billionaire class.)

O.K. I had to go back and do the research on your last question, and I saw that some of your answers weren't all pro American, some were about other countries, but if I may give you insight on your last question,we dont think we are all that you think of us,that is your assumption,we have to be outwardly concious about other countries because when the cr@p hits the fan,we are usaully the first in line to clean it up, your question was not specific enough for a fair impartial response,so like you assumed about our arrogance we assumed(a free speech thing here) that you were from here

The vast majority of the questions asked on Yahoo.com are asked by Americans living in the US

I don't know what your last question was, but I can venture a guess.

We (Americans) tend not to care about other countries' affairs, and with the exception of Hollywood I think we tend to believe the feeling is mutual.

I think your question is rhetorical, but if it wasn't, I hope that helps.

Was it about the US, or posted in the Us section of this website? Did you state that you do not? You still have not said that you DO NOT live in the US.
