My girlfriend manages our finances and my monthly salary get paid directly into her account, she has the only atm and credit card but gives me enough to get by each week. This has worked well for the past 6 months, however, 2 weeks ago she made me kneel to her when asking for some money back and told me I would have to do this to her from now on. Last week she told me I would have to do all the housework for her before she gives me anything. I am a little afraid what she will make me do next. I would die if we ever broke up the trouble is she knows it too. Any advice?

First of all you need to put your foot down. You make the money so you are in titled to however much of it you want!! You need to change the amount of your direct deposit . She will never even know its missing. This is possible because I have been in banking for the past 7 years and I hear this all the time. Believe me, if you are the bread maker your girl is not going anywhere, she just likes knowing that she has you wrapped around her finger. This can be easily resolved with no hard feelings. Just talk to your employer and have them take a certain percent of your paycheck every month and put it into your own account. Then your girlfriend can still manage the bills and you can live unmonitored and you will both be happy!! Best of luck!!

you need to just be open with her and let her know how you feel. I don't think that you will lose her especially if you are doing all this for her. I think the both of you should care the house work. You need to let her know that you are not going to be pushed around because if you let a woman do you like this she would continue to do this. Women love men that can be strong as well as a leader in the relationship. I am not talking about putting your hands on her but just take a liittle control. You need to stop your payment into her account and get yourself a separate account. You need to give her the amount that you want to give her, and I bet she would respect you more.

Okay dude, your mistake was in the beginning, for letting her get the money in her account ,and the only debit card. That was dumb, because u gave her control of the relationship... There's not much you can do now, unless you want to risk breaking up with her. You should try talking to her about a joint account, or something, and stop giving her the paychecks!!! Good luck!

Get the appropriate forms from your employer and get your money back, you arn't married or anything. That is so demeaning, my husband has problems with his finances and I deal with our money but never do I make him do things like that and I only have control of our finances because we have children to support. Just remember if she is like this now in the future it will only get worse and she won't give you enough to get by and by that time it will be too late to do anything about it,.

You need to know how to take care of your own finances.
Dont be so foolish to let ANYONE control you like that.
Open your own account, and have your paycheck go directly into your account each payday. Then you BOTH share the bills for your household. You live together, you share together.

WOW! talk about whipped! man you really need to get out of this situation, if she really loved you , she would want to share everything with you. this doesnt mean in the way of finances partners cant have separate savings accounts, but just one partner having control of it all, nowadays with usually both working, it just ridiculous, and selfish and controlling

She testing to se if you will be the man in the relation or if she has to be.

Next, she's gonna have you dance in front of her in bra and a thong.
Be a man. Tell her you earned it, as long as y'all are together you don't mind her suggestions and ideas of what to buy, but the ultimate say of how it is spent is with you or at least the consent of both of you.

oh man. she just wants to feel like she is the one in control of everything. she seems like a control freak and its best if u get ur own account. if she makes you knee on the floor then its likely that she'll take everything in the account if u guys split.
ur dependent on her and that is a bad sign.
stop being the girl's b**** and lose her. =]

why are lettign her to control your life? just because you are in a relationship with her,it doesn't mean that you need to give the remote of your life to her so then she can click you around. it is your salar-your hard work. why is it going to her account in the first place? and even if you had to save it in her account, why do you have to beg to have your own money? doesn't make any sense. if you are going to be like this, letting that woman of yours to walk on your life and step on your head-you are eventually going to be left with nothing for yourself.come on, stand up for yourself, man!!!
