Snuff is much finer. People used to actually Sniff it-hence the name. Long cut is more like chewing tobacco but still placed between the cheek and gum like snuff, Copenhagen for example. Both are very stong nicotine wise(like a cigarette)compared to chewing tobacco.
The pluses are the nice nicotine high the minus is the deadly mouth cancer.

Snuff is way finer cut and can be snorted. Long cut and those are the ones yoy throw into a lip. Honestly i prefer long cut most of the time because of my job i run alot and with wieght so if i had snuff and tried to keep it in a lip itd get all messed up. But its more or less personal preference.
And to those that are freaking out over itll cause cancer and ****. Well duhh it has the warning right there.. News flash if the dude asking the question wants to dip let him dip. We all are going to die someday. Be it bullet, blade, old age, cancer, or that crazy ex girlfriend. So live life to the fullest.
Back to the dude and asking the question, go with long cut first honestly, get used to it then you can branch out. Ive been dipping for 10 years now, and honestly my go to is Copenhagen Wintergreen or Southern Blend. But go crazy dude. Make your own opinions. Live your life.

If you want lip, tongue, cheek, or any other type of mouth cancer either will do fine. Do yourself a favor, chew gum instead.
