well to be perfectly honest, there IS a way to enable better contact between your kids' tongues and the outlet:

ask them to take a break from their licking

while they're in the kitchen getting a snack, take a butter knife and stick in the top outlet. Hold in place for a few minutes.

yea i used to put crushed up jolly ranchers in the sockets and watch them lick it till they dissolve then POW! works every time. make it interesting, get some buddies together and vote on how long it takes to shock themselves... good times.
