i don't see how its corporate identity to make all you major sedans look exactly the same. and no i don't mean that by them looking the same that they are ugly, its just hard to like a car that looks the same as 2 other cars the company sells.

After seeing the new Sentra for the first time tonight, I have to say yes.

Yeah they do. I have a Nissan Sentra and the only difference in it an the Altima is the butt of the Altima is a little bigger and the difference between it and the Maxima is the lights are a little different. Other than that, the body style is exactly the same.

The difference comes in the performance. The Sentra gets great gas milage...that is as long as you drive like a turtle. If you drive the speed limit you can get over 40 mpg in that car, but I don't drive that slow. Also, it has NO get up an go. You couldn't pass a turtle in that thing. The Altima is only a little better in that regard, but the Maxima has got some action. Not as good as a sports car, but it can sure beat out my cars. I wish I would have had the money for that instead...lol. Of course if I had I would have gotten a Toyota. They are a lot better than Nissan.

Tail lights are different however your statement is correct Nissan wanted a strong brand identity. Right down to the new Nissan N ready dealerships. Style that has been missing is now back at Nissan. I see good things happening.

Nissan is trying to develop a brand identity. Similar characteristics throughout their line of cars that identify them as Nissan's. Like BMW's kidney-grilles, etc.

I agree entirely, they are all a little too similar though this year. The headlights are all similar, and they all have a distinctive profile to their side glass, like the upward-raked rear 1/4 window. The rears are all very different, at least.

It's no wonder that Nissan sales are slumping.
