She won't talk to me right now. We had a little tiff the other night and I think she needs to cool down and I probably do, too. Funny thing is, I have her paycheck (yes we used to work together until about 2 wks ago). They gave it to me before I knew she was screening calls. Should I give it to her, mail it to her, or let her come and get it? I do want to talk to her about this mess and it seems like that would be one way of ensuring it.

She knows I have it. I texted her after a manager gave it to me but before I reaized I was being screened. And she's the one who quit, so all they'd do is mail it to her anyways. Lastly, her quitting wan't a surprise, at least not to me or her, but maybe to work.

I think she quit for my benefit. She had talked about it for some time and might have finally done it b/c she has a quasi-real job and some talk amongst the coworkers about us was starting to surface. We work(ed) at a fairly nice restaurant and w/ the holidays coming soon, I have a chance to make some really good money in a short time. She didn't quit b/c of the situation I refer to now.

I would text her and ask her whether she wants you to bring it around or would she rather come and pick it up. If she doesn't answer, take it to her, and tell her you want to talk about things.....what have you got to lose if she refuses? Good luck!

Take it to her, u shldnt let this issue fester for too long because things may just get awkward btwn u guys. So take the paycheck to her then try to discuss and work it out, if she still isn't ready, give her time, she shld appreciate the effort u made.

I think you should mail to her, she must not really need it anyways. I also think you should give her her space, let her think things through like the saying goes "If you love something let it go free and if it comes back it's meant to be". I think that's how it goes, well you know what I mean. Don't insist in talking to her cause you'll only annoy her.

Her job had no right to give her check to someone else. Give it back and tell them it's their job to get it to her. If she wants to talk to you, she knows how to reach you. Leave her alone, she needs to make her own decisions.

Give it back to the payroll department or your boss at work. They really had no business giving out payroll checks to other people.

well, the chek is from hers, and if you love it and want to fix your relationship, you should use it to let her come and get it so you cant talk, and hopefully fix your situation, hope you luck :)
