vertigo following seizures ?
I had a seizure due to a drug interaction about a month ago, and I am now having severe vertigo and have been since that day. I also have been getting toungue tied easily and slurring my speech?
My stepfather who has epilepsy says that is common but I have never heard of it, is this normal?
the vertigo is so bad that I look like a walking bruise, I literally took out a wall in my house today from falling, this has got to end!

by the way the two medications that "interacted" was ultram (for pain from a fractured ankle) and wellbutrin (for ptsd) that I have took for a few months now.

Tongue tied and slurred speech is a part of epilepsy. I have been epileptic for 5 years and even on medication I still have trouble with my speech at times.
Your Dad was right. There is a epileptic vertigo that is.
Dizziness, light headiness, trouble walking etc. comes with it.

See a doctor. You shouldn't have as bad a reaction to a medication. Get a second doctor's opinion if there is no improvement. I know that some conditions and medications and combinations of medications aren't compatible but what you describe shouldn't be happening.

Ultram and Wellbutrin can only be prescribed by a certified physician. I suggest you consult the physician who prescribed the medication for you.
