I currently do not have color on my hair. I had highlights in the spring and then the sun lightened my hair this summer but now I am looking for something different for the fall/winter and I really like that look.

lowlights are now on the market on the shelves or at salons and they do work especially if you don't have other hair coloring on your hair. Think about the "chunky" look your after. I have seen some celebs with it this season but in all honesty I think it looks trashy, unclassy, not attractive. Depends on what you want to be portrayed as hmm? Do the lowlights nicely, that will make you feel better and look better ok?

sounds like a good option since you are looking for something for fall/winter.
when spring and summer get here I would do highlights only since your natural hair color is light.

Look in magazines. Have you ever seen anyone with chunky highlights? How did it look?

if you have blonde hair this will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There has been this guy in my class who also had golden blonde hair that had been a medium brown near the base. When he came back to college after summer vacation, it was practically platinum blonde!
