Now a lot of people cry and complain that the government has no right to be taking away our freedom of eating unhealthy and becoming an even heavier nation, are they in the wrong? I mean they are looking out for our health and our money that goes to health care. I believe the state that Americans are in now, we should definitely be considering incorporating this law into our society.

Trans-fats are not fit for human consumption. I thought this is what we had an FDA for. They make drug companies take a drug off the market when a few dozen people die, yet a food that kills thousands goes unpunished. Then again, this is a government we're talking about, so we will have to approach this problem without the benefit of logic or intelligence.

Frankly, I think the government controls enough concerning our lives without telling people what they can and can not eat.

The reason that people are heavier in this country is because they do not get enough exercise in accord with what they eat.

It will not be long before insurance companies will take control and refuse to insure people who are not responsible for their health. Just my thought.

When one thinks about it, the insurance companies already charge more for life insurance if a person has high blood pressure or if they smoke along with more things.

But to get the government involved? No way.

This is the same society that produced the Islamic cartoons. They have no regard for free speech, or at least they once did. Why should we let them tell us what to eat?

Can we protest, and burn cars? The Danes sell fine pork products that are deleterious to our health. Can we cut their heads off? I feel no need to, but what would be the Islamic response?

Let us eat in peace and freedom!

I agree. We eat way too much junk food (including just bad food that is claimed "healthy" but isn't) and obesity, diabetes, heart disease, etc. are turning into epidemics, yet even school cafeterias serve fried food to kids. Apparently people have either no education on what's truly bad for them, or else they have no self control, so maybe the government needs to enforce it for them.

I think it is a great idea. Australia would benefit from it too. Infact the planet would - we should ban it globally
