Hi Sarah,
Mine does the exact same thing, from the kitty she was to the adult she is = 3 years. I have decided that she just wants to be brushed and petted, while still maintaining her independence of control. I did go through trial-an-error, to find this out. I set a thin tooth comb in one part of the bathroom, and a pet brush in a different area of the bathroom, both of which were near the commode. Low-en-behold, my baby comes in there, and stands by which of the two she wants, as she meows. I view this as comical. She also likes me to ask her "Do you want your face washed", with this I get 2 Meows.

My cat doesn't like to be anywhere he can't get to me. I have to have privacy in the bathroom. He will meow from the door and start digging his claws into the carpet and the bottom of the door. There is some damage to the carpet already so I am letting him just come in when I am in there. He likes to watch the stuff go round and round when I flush. I think it's gross but he obviously gets a thrill out of it.

she considers the room as hers and has conditioned you to give her attention by petting her when she arrives in the room. It never fails but I can be taking a shower and the door can be slightly ajar. When I come out of the shower she will be sitting on the toliet seat meowing at me.

I have 3 cats myself one of them is almost 8 months old and the other 2 are almost 4 months old. I live in a travel trailer so as you can imagine I have a VERY small bathroom and yet all three of my babies insist on sitting in my lap when I have to "go".

She wants to be preened when you are. The restroom is obviously a comfort zone for her. Giv her time and she will love and want attention in other rooms of the house.

my kitty does this!! It's kind of annoying, but so cute. Your kitten just loves you and wants your attention- and in many ways you are her "mommy" so she needs to be near you.
