Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years old, a US citizen, and must have a current driver's license. Applicants must possess a college degree or 60 college credits with 2 years of satisfactory employment or military experience.

The Division of State Police has implemented modifications to the Physical Qualification Test (PQT) Phase of the Applicant Selection Process. The Physical Qualifications Test Battery will consist of the following seven (7) timed tests: Push Ups, Sit Ups, 1.5 Mile Run, Arm Endurance Test, Leg Endurance Test, 75 Yard Pursuit Run and the Side Step Test.
