I think that my cat may be a little bit slow, if you know what I mean. She has no sense of balence, she tries to jump up onto the couch but misses, she trips on nothing, and bonks her head on the coffee table dailey, she walks around with a sort of lilt... Is it possible for a cat to be... not all there? lol
I'm not sure what to do with her. I know it isn't a health problem though, so don't suggest seeing a doctor. lol

But that's just the thing. She perks up her ears at every noise. It's weird. I'm almost sure it's not a hearing problem, although I have been wrong before...lol

Lol, good grief some of you guys, I only write don't tell me to take her to the vet because I don't want all the answers to this post to be only, "TAKE HER TO THE VET!!! SHE IS SICK!!!" Right? Obviously I'm going to take her, I just wanted some of your opinions first, lol!
When I said that it was not a health problem I just meant that she was showing no signs of being sick. Of said it also just to discourage those who's anwers would have been, "take her to the vet, she is going to die." lol, lighten up. Oh yeah, thanks for those anwers from the first few people. Those were the kinds of things I was looking for! ;)

Something has just occurred to me, she only has half a tail. I've only been noticing it lately because she usually sits on it, but the other night it came to my attention that her tail was only hal long! That might upset her balence, right?

Remember President Ford how he was always falling when he would step down off of an air plane it was his inner ear and was solved very easily! Take the cat to the vet and have it checked for tinitus! I have it but as long as I take my medicine I am fine!

It could be an inner ear infection - that messes up human balance, I imagine it does the same for cats. Also, whiskers are a key part of a cat's balance, if one side have been cut that would also explain it. Worse yet, it could be a problem in her nervous system- -- or maybe glaucoma or another vision problem.
How do you know it's not a health problem? If you haven't taken her to see a vet, you should. This is not normal for a 4 mth old kitten. Good luck!

I've had cats all my life and what you describe is perfectly normal behavior. One of my cats will come up on my pillow behind my head and start washing my forehead when he feels I've slept long enough. My other cat greets me at the door when I come home from work. He sits on the windowsill waiting for my car to pull into the drive. Life would be so boring without my babies. Personally, I think dogs are weird. Cats are normal and that's why we love them. You don't know what love is until you've been loved by a cat!

You said yourself you don't know what to do with her...You don't know if it is a health problem or not. To me it sounds like it is. She might have something way down inside her ear canal. Sometimes animals(and humans) can have insects in their ears.
Is it possible that someone or something has hurt her? My neighbor ladies kitten got hurt by the dogs and walks kind of sideways now with her head drooping to the side and she is off balance...
It might be neurological. Have you used pesticides on her? Sometimes that messes them up too.
Best thing to do in a case like this is to take kitty to the vet.

The question you ask is best answered by taking her to the vet. So, when people reply to you with the suggestion that you take her to the vet it is only because we aren't veterinarians and wouldn't dream of making diagnoses online. So, ease up on us.
You don't know if it is a health problem or not, so you are back to consulting with a veterinarian.

Is she blind?
Several things may be going on- some kittens that are exposed to distemper before birth have a brain disorder that makes them uncoordinated.
She may have poor vision.
And yes, can't can be 'slow' although the tilt she walks with make Me think something neurological is going on.
It's too bad you won't see a vet, sometimes things like this are simple to fix for your cats comfort, and sometimes they are a sign of something worse that needs attention now...

There is a possiblity that you cat may becoming blind. Has she always been this way or has it just started?? Check it out...Does she come when you call if so. The next time you call her put something in her was like a book on the floor or a ball and see if she trips over it.

Could very well be an inner ear issue...
Am wondering if the cat could possibly be blind, have a friend that has a blind cat that does the same thing.
Has at some point in her life someone cut her whiskers off? Could be part of the issue.

How old are you? Do you know anything about animals, aside that you know they are cute? If any animal acts weird, like your kitty is, it is OBVIOUS, you dimwit, that it NEEDS TO SEE A VETERINARIAN. That it IS a health problem.
Listen to some advice from above and take care of your poor mistreated cat.

I would say inner ear, vision, or it there could be something going on w/ her nervous system because of the head tilt.
