If a individual fails a drug test, thus violating his contract, how long after the test fails does it take to actually be releaved of official duty? A friend of mine just intentionally failed his test to avoid roadside bomb detail, and I would like to know how long this process takes on average. No criminal charges are being filled, so its just a matter of how long it takes from failure to last paycheck.

Let me re-phrase this question to be more specific. A gentlmen I know intentionally failed a drug test to leave the navy. He did so with full knowlegde but did not commit a crime, simply violated his contract. No criminal actions will be filied. He simply did it, and admitted to it.

He is a E6, so he's very high ranking, and has served his time flawlessly. As a matter of fact, his first test came back negetive....which promises someone is tampering with the test to try and keep him active. I am wondering, knowing that it takes up to 2 months, how long others have had to wait to be expelled from the Navy, at least from active work.

It could take from 1 weeks to 2 months there's really no telling. It all depends on how fast his command wants him out of the Navy.

he gets it retroactive to the day he have been given married. as quickly as he receives a approved replica of the marriage certificates to his workers place of work they're going to submit the replace. often this is not any longer the forthcoming payday however the only after that.

ok this is easy
since the "ask dont tell" rule you can't admit you gay
but you can say you having dream of hurting yourself
or your shipmate. and if been overseas for awhile
believe me. they going hurry you out of there

you'll get a medicial discharge with full benefits
and the state of CA is the only state that can ask you what type of discharge you recieved. (unless you applying for gov. jobs or assist) when i say assist i mean like social sercuity. or disability
good luck i seen it done many many times

if his command even suspects he failed the test on purpose, they can either drag it out as long as possible, to punish him, or they can wash their hands of him and kick him out in a matter of days.. and he will NOT get any bennies whatsoever, in fact he'll prolly get a general discharge, which does not look good.

at a time of war it is going to take a while in my opinion but in time of PEACE it wouldn't take that long, Probley won't get kicked out but will get into a bit of trouble.
