in water? Did water die on a cross for you?

Do you pray to water?

Does water have the power to forgive?

Then how does water save you and wash anything, other than dishes?

You are right they, are both very important. When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you see more clearly, love more,
and understand more, spiritualy, Biblially, unless you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit I don't think you will ever understand the Bible, I'm pretty sure I never would had I not been quickened by the Holy Spirit.

Baptism by water is simply a public expression of faith. Jesus said, whoever would deny Me before men he I will also deny before My Father. Ceremonies of water baptism are symbolic, showing a physical manifestation of sin being washed from the being of the new believer. Baptism by the spirit is quite different. A scripture:
Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

The Holy spirit can only be accessed via faith in the saving power of Jesus Christ. I pray for your understanding. Amen

Pagans don't need baptism. Some of us experience something akin to the baptism of the Holy spirit in what is called the "drawing down", where we become a vessel for deity. We do dedicate ourselves, and that is the closest thing to baptism.

NO you only have to be baptized ONCE.
4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
EPH 4:4-6

I think that the Bible says water, so everyone can know you have turned to Christ, and are going to turn from your sins.

You have already received the Holy Spirit when you ask Jesus into your heart.

Ask your preacher,......
