No, Chinese Cresteds are the ugliest dogs alive. They are the ones that are mostly bald with a few little random tufts or hair.

Combing out those mats IS going to hurt her badly & even if she trusts you to bathe her if you comb them out she will never trust you again. Shave her down. She will look silly but it will grow back in full in about 3-4months. In the future let brushing be positive & loving. Brush her before she needs it. If a matt happens use "gloss drops" or super skinny. If you dont want to use a chemical you can use a dab of olive oil in your palm rubbed over her to use as a tangle remover. Get a brush with metal tines that are NOT sharp. Wig brushes have these kinds of tines so they will slip through the hair without grabbing & pulling the strands. They increase the life of the wig. They will call animal control on you. It will be more grief than you need & you can take care of her yourself. Do not try to pursue this through animal control. She was already at the pound so that issue was settled. Trying to cause problems for other people will not help your problem. If her eyes are matted & gunked up you can get some over the counter, natural medicine for Pink Eye in the natural section in Wal mart. It will not help the blindness of course but if in the future she develops matting & dripping this will help.

My mother has a really cute one...but mostly, yes, they are kinda ugly. Flat faced dogs are funny looking.

no, but... to me i think that bull dogs are ugly....cuz they have wrinkly skin and a funny falt face on them..... they look stupid to me and i just hate it...(they also look old)

No. I hate to call any dog ugly because it's not their fault, but I think Boston Terriers and Pugs are ugly.

its probably the ugliest dog dead, maybe alive too, but i prefer them dead, mauled by a german shepard or something other big dog.
