One of the worst things women especially my beautiful black queens do is get there hair braided so tight that it completly de-roots the hairline.... Its a shame that women do that... It will grow back but when you rip it out of the folicles it is shocked and it will take it a while to recover...

I hate that. There are ladies in my family who have hed that problem. I have a cousin who had hardly any hair edges or hairline after some braids a while back. I am sure you suffered from the #1 problem which is somebody braided it too tight. Either that or you didn't moisturize, condition, and cleanse your braided hair (especially roots) properly. Now you have to do some serious TLC towards your hair to get it back to a healthy growing state. Trim your hair ends 1/4 to half of an inch and cut off any split ends (don't trim too much, just what I said). This will help you get more of a healthy growth in the next couple of months. Find a good hair oil and use it/massage it in hair at least three times a week (Grease is too thick and clogging for my scalp pores). I have heard from friends and family that Dr. Miracles has some good products that work and grow your hair. Use a cleaning, moisturizing shampoo. Do either hot-oil treatment every two-four weeks. Deep condition hair every couple of weeks or use a leave-in. Brush your hair good to spread oil through scalp, but don't overbrush it. I am sure your hair will be growing back full and healthy in no time (well it will take some time but not too long if you care for it right).

If this was your first experience, then yes, it will grow back with proper care. However, if you wear braids regularly and you've had breakage for a while, there is a strong possibility that your hair will not grow back. Follow the link for more information about this condition, Traction Alopecia.

it stands 2 reason, if women of color continue 2 keep their hair in braids, they will lose it and not grow back as time goes by.. thats a lot of tention put on the roots day after day.. and i would think tight braids will cause headaches.. hairless women, are not sexy.. bummer eh
