I've been checking out Yahoo Answers for a journalism assignment on stalkers, harrassers and identity fraud & found the subject mentioned a lot in this category. I've garnered more subject material to use than I would have imagined and was surprised at the people who accuse other people of stalking them and how vehemently the posts are worded. To be the victim of a stalker would naturally be upsetting, worrisome, and frightening. Obviously, victims of harrassment and stalking don't use direct provocation to ward it off or bring more attention to themselves. But here they do. And one good example is "hittykiiod" accusing "UnitedAnswersLeague" in lengthy detail of threatening his life & stalking, & when I tried to follow this trail, Yahoo stated hittykiiod is suspended from YahooAnswers. UAL isn't. Bottom line: this area is not informative and useless due to the participants themselves.

Very interesting that the first answer was merely "re" (?) and the last so far I had to scroll the entire screen down 4 times to read entirely! Thank each of you who have answered so far with your respected opinions. I apologize that it was not truly a question on "immigration" and more of a personal opinion, so I appreciate all of the responses. Also, I wasn't implying that impersonation or stalking on this site is of no concern, for those who have been pestered and had cruel posts put here should be upset and angry. Perhaps I was flippant or offensive to sound as though this category is unimportant, but I must admit that there are very lively people here who made my assignment more interesting that I expected. Two more days to answer are open, so I'd appreciate more answers before it's closed.

Finally, using the word "useless" towards participants was not well-thought out, given the fact that I participate by posting a question!

The pro-illegals are the ones who stalk, clone, harass, and threaten the most - from what I've seen. They get enraged at the anti's and after they set their sights on one of us and start their stalking, cloning, harassing, and threats - then comes the reporting. They desperately search our Q&As, looking for ANY reason to report us for abuse, which eventually results in the suspension of our account.

They are smart (I will give them that) and I say this because they always seem to watch what they say while under their "real" ID, so we aren't able report them for abuse. When they want to speak their minds, they just use another of their multiple IDs. IDs that don't matter if they get suspended or not. This is why the pro's accounts "never get suspended." They DO get suspended, but it's always the 'other' account....the one they could care less about.

People here aren't stupid, it's easy to see the whole picture. When you hang out here for months on end, it's very easy to see just who is doing what.

And I'm sure, since they are on a mission to have me suspended, I will more than likey get a violation for this answer. But it really doesn't matter to me because I, too, have created another account for later when I need it. It's not a bogus account to stalk people or say things I'm too afraid to say under this ID......it's only a back-up account for when this one gets deleted. Like I've said before.....they are obsessed with researching our Q&As, and my back-up account will have a good track record for when that time comes.

You said-- "Bottom line: this area is not informative and useless due to the participants
themselves."

What a fine example if posters dropped the pretense. And could find beneficial things to talk about. And really state their views. To converse with people instead of lecturing them. Everyone has a view of their own. And it would be nice to hear them.

This forum has certainly reach a high of slumming. And that is a pity. Not that some pods are not enjoyable--they are. Very enjoyable! I am actually quite fond of some. Very fond of them. But it has been overdone. And often the questions are the same (different wording). Boring.

And the only way it will change if we make advances. One way would be not to dwell on the negative matters and try to improve things yourself. No clones, no gaming, no stalking or harassing or trolls and no lies or personal name calling.

I doubt it will change much. It didn't when someone made that challenged a bit ago. If fact pods increased twofold. It is a garden. But I will Stand Back as suggested by someone and we shall see.

Your last statement was very well presented. I too am impressed. Other than that enjoy Yahoo and let it be.

He's ~hope~ing that the Supreme Court decision will go his (and most Democrats) way.. From what I heard on ABC radio news just an hour ago, we will know at the end of June. After testifying, Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer says it looks good for the law to be declared legal. Remember the Court upheld the cavity search law for minor offenses too. I agree with you that they are NOT enforcing the Federal laws on the books. There are more than enough qualified people to become border patrol agents (returning Vets!). They just won't hire enough people to do the job right! Spend our money here. Not on border patrol in the middle eastern countries!

I'm impressed. You figured that out in only five days. There are people who have been here five months who haven't grasped that yet.

But hang around here a couple more nights- the stalking and cloning are fairly common in this forum.

There's a gal on here that goes by 'princess', and she made SOMEbody mad 'cause he's always bagging on her, copies her stuff, reposts it, posts a bunch of insults pretending to be her...it's pretty juvenile, but it goes on from time to time, and there's some other clown who always posts a bunch of stuff and I'm just guessing but it sounds like he's pretty much pro-illegal and doesn't seem to have a whole lot in the way of respect for anyone else or their views on the issue, doesn't have any facts, either. It's kind of interesting that that goes on, because the issue of ID theft is relevant to the immigration debate...

The fun continues...enjoy! LOL

I am impressed that you are so knowledgeable of the pods, impostors or stalkers in such a small time frame. You know, useless and uninformative was used by a pro illegal a while back as I recall, and geez, you sound just like him. Are you a pod journalist or the legit thing. Only time and level will tell. If you are legit, I really am impressed. But I think you're just part of the whole pod garden myself. No offense to you personally, unless you are one of those stalking creatures, then I do not apologize. Night, night.

Exactly!

You cannot use Yahoo! Answers except as an entertainment vehicle. It is inherently unreliable for any social service, anthropological, or other scientific study because there is no way to verify the information you get here or to determine anything reliable about the demographics of the participants.

Have fun!

i have been the victim a few times on here and have received hate mail from people who disagree with my view on illegal immigration i just ignore it for the most part its usually people who have no intelligent way of debating or expressing their view with you and i find it interesting that more times out of not the impostors stay on yahoo and the victims get booted off curious i get violations all the time for legitimate questions more people who cant debate and resort to juvenile ways of expressing themselves also that is one of the impostor princess's who responded she has several. i like old fart's answer a wise man !

So exactly what are we to do if we have a clone?? I wouldn't say I have a stalker, but it is annoying to read the garbage the "other " Carol R. writes. It shouldn't be allowed. I really don't care if you disagree with my opinions on this site, that's fine, but cloning a name and asking ridiculous questions and harassing people should not be allowed at all.
