If you eat alot of any veggies that are orange or yellow it can turn your skin orange. Its the vitamin A in them. When my son was a baby he hate squash and carrots and the bottom of his feet were bright orange.I ran to the doctor and he told me what it was no harm he said just cut back a little lol.Oh and you know those tanning pills do the same thing ,they make your palms orange lol.

Carrots and green vegetables are actually very good for your complexion. It won't turn your face orange, and eating greens won't turn you skin green. But it does help your skin and it's almost like brightening your skin up in a way. Here's a website that I found that will give you a little more information.

I am not scientist or anything like that, but I heard of one actress who was on a diet (more like anorexia to me) of just eating carrots, and everyone who saw her said, the started to note that her skin was of an orange like color, (she was white color skin). So, I think is true, cause it wasn't just one person who saw her, there were a lot of people corroborating the story.

If you are African American I don't know. I doubt it will do anything at all to your skin. I definitely don't think it will make you lighter. I do know babies seem to favor carrots, sweet potatoes and squash in jarred babyfood. And if they eat too much they can get an orange tint to their skin - temporarily. I'm talking about white babies. This happened to my neice. They're called 'carrot babies'. Very temporary and only white babies. I don't think it happens to adults - even white adults.

If you are fair complexion you would probably turn orange. It will turn color on your mouth; nose (drip nasal) hands; creases in your fingers ; elbows creases and it it not nice looking.. What do you mean when you said can it literally make me lighter? In weight or coloring...I would talk to your dr before challenging this fad....
