Hey guys, i'm trying to lose weight, and i dont need to know how, i know how.. i watch what i eat and work out with a personal trainer. However, i need some low calorie snacks and dinner ideas- but not ones that i have to prepare, becuase i live at home and my mother makes meals (also, i dont know how to cook complex meals.). Some snack ideas (portable preferably) and dinner ideas that are low in calories, healthy, and contain fiber (if you know of any) would be excellent. Thanks. Also, is there anything great to eat for lunch besides turkey sandwiches? (im an upperclassman in high school). Thanks!!

don't cheat and you won't put on the weight.

most diets fail.. there's a reason.

turkey is not a good meat.

stick with a well balanced diet and you will not go wrong. i can't imagine not following it... most don't listen then later come screaming that the latest diet they gained double or triple the weight.

don't cheat and you won't be sorry.

can't your personal trainer help you out with this? why not?

and again you must use variety or you'll suffer then the diet will fail.

that's one of many reasons why diets fail.

variety!

eat more fresh produce!

and please don't go to that free articles 50 webs site. it's a scam and spam lure. they post it all the time and it's got nothing to do with the question and the diets listed are scams.

Veggies!! If you learn to crave vegetables and fruits instead of salts and sugars that'll help a ton. Good snacks are carrots, celery, grapes, apples, whatever is in season and you like to eat, or popcorn! (low salt and butter) Check your grocery store for dips and dressings for some variety (but make sure they are low fat, low salt, and don't contain sugar or high fructose syrup). A good place to check is health food stores.

You can get a scale to measure how much you're eating too - you still want to eat meat but you can supplement any meal with a can of vegetables or a salad. A turkey sandwich can be healthy for lunch too - try a wrap in a tortilla, and skip the mayonnaise.

No matter how you eat you have to exercise too - even if it's just walking around the block every day or parking down the street from school... anything will help.

Good luck!! :)

Visit the island of Kikomishi and find the black man known as Roshain. When you first set foot on the island you will see a giant volcano, near the Volcano is a cave. That is where you can find Roshain. Before you meet up with Roshain you need to find some Vinasha Leaves in the jungle. They are bright red with yellow dots. They can be found near waterfalls. Once you get some Vinasha Leaves go to the cave near the volcano and find Roshain. Roshain will not understand you for he does not speak english. So he will be very suspicious of you. This is where the Vinasha Leaves will come in handy. Give him the Vinasha Leaves as a gift and he will know you are a freind and are no danger to him. Then Roshain will take his magic stick and cast the spell of Hokaola on you. You will pass out and be sick for the next 2 days. But when you overcome the sickness Roshain will take his magic stick and shove it up your ***. Do not be alarmed when he does this. For when he takes it out he will give you the perfect healthy diet plan.

Good snacks are fruits and veggies, fiber-rich crackers, etc. Protein bars and such are OK too - just watch the sugar content on them (some are really sugary).

As for meals, offer to help your mom cook. Find a simple recipe, and offer to make it as a side dish for something your mom is making. You will introduce new foods to your family, and learn to cook healthier for yourself, too. And doing this, you will give yourself leftovers that are healthy and quick snacks or meals.

For in between meals, you may want to try some protein bars.

Myoplex bars by EAS
Muscle tech - Nitro Tech bars
Protein bars by MetRx

These are pretty good for the in between low calorie, hi in protein snacks that you can try. They pack approx 20 g of protein per bar and also depending on which one, are pretty good.

As for lunch, low carb/fat pasta and caesar salad with chicken would be a good combo.

hope this helps.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with Xanadu. Those things are no better than candy bars, and they taste a lot worse. Fruits and single-serve yoghurts are always my top preference, followed by snack-pack raw nuts.
For sandwiches, vary turkey with roast beef, canned sardines or tuna, boiled eggs, and roast or grilled chicken. Add lots of vegetables.
Soup is a filling and relatively low-cal meal, add vegetables and beans or lean meats like pork, beef, or chicken. Stir-frys are also easy and nutritious, mix vegetables with some lean protein or nuts (I like cashew).
You're welcome. =)
