i have suffered from migraines since i was a kid some doctors say they are hereditary my sister has them too i found out several yrs ago that i have a scarred pituitary gland and that causes migraines and cluster headaches when i was a young mother i used to have to go to the hospital for shots mine were enhanced because of mental abuse stress and anxiety make them worse through the yrs i have learned to tolerate them better and have told myself that it is something that i have to accept excedrin migraine helps alot but when they get really bad you just about have to go to bed i guess another reason that mine are not as severe anymore is because i am no longer in an abusive marriage sometimes when they get really unbearable it will cause my eyes to swell if i put vicks vapor rub around the bones by my eyes the heat and the vapor eases them off some [just dont get it too close to your eye] it will make your eyes water but it really does help hope yours get easier to bear and try to keep your stress level down have a good day

There are medications you can take but very expensive......many different kinds of migraines, and certain foods can trigger a migraine (chocolate is a big one) I have many. I like a cold wash cloth (wet and put in freezer) on my eyes.....pressure on the spot that hurts helps me to......but as you've been told also dark no noise at all an Advil and suffering is all we can do

many people imagine that acquiring issues is only a organic portion of existence. no longer so! There are motives, and fortunately, treatments for issues, even undesirable ones like migraines. look into seeing a respected Chiropractor as many issues stim from misalignment contained in the cervical backbone section. And if that would not do the trick, you could also see an acupuncturist. strong success!

I have found that lying down in a completely dark room, with a cold cloth over my eyes, and a fan in the background, as the only noise in the room helps. I get migraines from time to time and this always helps.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

I think there are all different reasons that cause headaches for different people. What I do usually is to prick the peak point of my ear by flipping them forward, squeeze one - two drops of blood from it. Usually it only takes 5 to 10 minutes for headache to disappear. It is the acupuncture way.

I agree with the dark, quiet room too. But also, evaluate any stressors in your life. I had a job from h*ll and once I left, no more migraines. I haven't had one in a year. :)
