Or would they risk losing the 1 grand by converting her first? After she converts, she can't make as much cash in small, unmarked bills.

It depends what you consider church. I consider church as just people who are Christians gathered together.
It seems as though you are just venting a bit of sarcasm toward "organized religion". That is fine, but someone to be truly converted to The Way,that is never done by humans. It is something that takes place in your heart first. Of course there are those high pressured preachers who think they are doing the converting, when only God can truly perform that. I would accept a stripper without a penny, as should any christian. As for the wolves out there, they would probably do things different. So, if it was just about the cash for a conversion I would glady rather pay that stripper 1000$ for a conversion. But as I said earlier, true conversion is between God and that individual.

I still don't understand why people believe the church can "convert" people. The only person who can tell someone to repent and change his or her way is his or herself! The church does not hand out Jesus's Grace, that was given to all who accept and will believe in him.

The church should not think about the money, but think about the person. Many people have come from lives more controversial than being a stripper and have been changed into loving members of God's family. Each person is WAY more important than any sum of money.

The church would lock up the cash first.

No, the church I go to would only want her to repent. Money is not a consideration when it comes to the eternal destiny of humans.

Of course. I have never heard of a church turning down money. I am sure its happened, but not often.

Where I worship, they would say, "thank you" but no, thank you". Only Christians are commanded to lay by in store on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.
