No, this is trying to dance on a technicality. It will not remove the aspect of homosexuality on the part of the couple.
Christians do not recognize a physical operation as "changing" a person's actual gender. It only changes their appearance. Gender is found at the genetic, cellular level. One is male if one has a Y gene. No Y gene present? The person is female. No amount of slice-and-dice will ever change that.
This would be the same as "cross-dressing", another practice forbidden in the Old Testament. Just be honest about who and what you are; you are fine in the body you are in, is the point.

In GODs eyes it is. The person was created one gender.That's it . You can't try to find loop holes in GOD's laws.
