When you get older you will realize that everything the adults in your life are telling you is true, despite what you might think now. You do not need to lose weight. You are not fat. You should excercise and eat right, but do it for the right reasons.

That's a tough one. I'd go talk to a nutritionist and a personal trainer about it. Also, unless you have a very strange body type you're not "super fat" You're near the high end of average. Losing 20 lbs will put you at the very lowest end of average and losing more than 20 lbs would make you underweight. To lose weight make sure to eat a balanced diet in moderation (I find eliminating meat and replacing it with beans/tofu/etc as protein sources cuts out a ton of unnecessary calories). Drink plenty of water, and make sure you're getting proper nutrition. You might consider a multivitamin during this process. If you want to lose weight FAST. I would reccomend 2-3 hrs of intense exercise per day--I would not, personally, make that much exercise a permanent installation, but to maintain the weight once you achieve it I would stay on the diet and have 1-2 hrs of exercise 3 times a week.

I'm sure you're fishing for responses from anorexics and bulimics. So here's one from a former patient: swallow diet pills of all brands, the more the merrier. Starch blockers, fat blockers, appetite suppressants, thermogenic pills, it makes no difference since they are all equally ineffective, but they sure make you feel like you're doing something to lose weight. Ex-Lax is a must, or if you are more daring and desperate, enemas.
Never stay still, keep moving even while you're sitting, it doesn't matter if you look retarded because at least you're a skinny retard. Live on diet coke, doesn't matter if it leeches calcium out of your bones, you want your bones to shrink so you can look thinner too. When you get too hungry, you will cave in a binge. That's OK because it's really easy to just stick your finger down your throat and get it up again. You'll feel dizzy after that, but don't be so weak, you still need to exercise to burn off whatever didn't come up.
Keep at this rate, you will be skinny in no time, and also dead (and wishing you were if you haven't).

I don't have a feel for whether or not you are actually overweight, nor by how much. 20 lb. is almost 1/5 of your total weight. Do be careful not to go overboard and develop anorexia! That is way worse than a few extra pounds, believe me. Please check with your doctor or school nurse and find out what the healthy range is for your weight, and do not get out of that range.
But if you do want to lose some weight, try giving up bread. If you love it, have just one slice, maybe when you get home from school. Eat it slowly and savor it. But flour really sticks around. When you do eat grains, eat whole grains; they have extra vitamins and fiber.
Cut way back on fat. Do eat a little, though; you need some. Enjoy what you do eat; make it count!
Eat earlier in the day. Bedtime snacks are really bad. If you are hungry at bedtime, either eat some veggies or an apple, or drink some water. I have found that I can have sharp hunger pains, then 15 minutes later not feel hungry at all. Your body will get used to your schedule.
Don't completely eliminate the goodies, or you will not be able to sustain it. When you eat them, eat them slowly and savor them.
Do some vigorous exercise 2-3 times/day. It doesn't have to be a lot--jumping jacks or something for a few minutes (with frequent breaks to catch your breath is ok, too). Maybe run for 10 minutes in the morning and again after school.
Please, put your health first. It is good not to let yourself get overweight, and you have your youthful metabolism on your side. But please do not go overboard. You can damage your health by doing too much. You compare yourself to other girls, but remember, if you wreck your health, they aren't going to be there to support you 20 years from now, when it starts really hurting you. They won't come to your funeral, either.
Cut the apron strings that bind you to the other girls' opinions. Make your own decisions. It's nice to look good; it's fun to compete and win; but it's better to make your own decisions and live your life based on what's best for you. Keep an eye on your entire future, not just the next social event, and make wise decisions.

I am sorry you feel you need to lose weight. It does not sound like you are super FAT, but a normal person.
Look at some of the beautiful women in the world who are not stick thin - Beyonce, Reba McIntyre, All the girls in Rap videos, Raven Symone, and many others.
I am sure you are beautiful, but it is hard growing up. I bet if you looked around the school and found 5 super thin girls they would wish they had more curves.
Trust me that is what is in curves.

108 at 4'8 really isn't bad. Trying to lose 20 pounds over the next 6 - 8 weeks will be really bad. I'm not sure if that would be healthy or not.

It's not bad to lose weight at a young age as that's when it's easiest to lose weight. But it is bad to lose so much weight in a week because you'll just end up gaining it all back plus more. Try to lose weight gradually and add exercise to your routine.

Wow, 13 and looking to lose weight? I feel a little guilty giving advice to someone so young, but here goes...
In the morning just eat a little bit of fruit. Stay away from sugary cereals and bagels. And if you eat toast, don't put any butter on it.
For lunch, try and eat just salad if you can. But don't eat any croutons and very little dressing. If you eat something like chicken, then don't eat the skin or batter. And stay away from anything with alot of sauce. And don't eat things with butter.
Don't snack on cookies or chips. If you want to snack on something, eat maybe just carrots.
Don't drink soda or anything sweet. It's best if you just drink water.
And if you can run as much as you want, then run as much as you can.
