It will have discoloring around the edges, usually a whiteness to the meat. The texture, when you thaw it, will be different from the inner part of the meat, also.

Look at it. Freezer-burnt parts of meat look dried out. It tastes how it looks.

It'll have little ice crystals on it.....it it's real bad you'll be able to see discoloration. But mostly just rely on the ice crystals. You have to seal things in the freezer hecka tight with no air.
And even then after a certain amount of time it's bound to go bad. Unless it's proffesionaly packaged.
Be careful with that....you don't want to get sick.

It has a grayish/white look to it on the outside when you take it out of the freezer.

It has that disgusting white appearance. it smells odd when you defrost it. When you cook it the frost-burnt part tastes like leather.

It has ice "growing" on it, and it smells funny. If it's cooked, it also tastes funny.
